The EPC division of Lanco Infratech Ltd has
won its first international order. The
Hyderabad-based infrastructure company
has been mandated to build the 2x125-mw
Akaz power plant in Al-Anbar Province of
Iraq. The power plant is owned by Iraq's
ministry of electricity.
The scope of work includes complete
engineering, procurement and construction
of an open cycle gas-based thermal Power
plant with two 9E-frame gas turbine
generator sets supplied by GE International,
Inc. The project is scheduled to be
completed in 16 months for which a
dedicated project team has already been
identified and put in place, a Lanco
statement said. This Iraqi order has taken
LITL's consolidated order book position to
30,900 crore.
