Siemens Energy has received a €70-million order to supply
the power train consisting of the key components for the
combined cycle power plant Dhuvaran Phase III in Gujarat.
The order has been placed by Larsen & Toubro that is
constructing the power plant for the owner, Gujarat State
Electricity Corporation Ltd.
Delivery of the components is scheduled for 2012. Following
commissioning by the end of 2013, this plant will supply ecofriendly
electricity to the region around the industrial and
university city of Vadadora, in Gujarat state.
The gas-fired power plant Dhuvaran CCPP Phase III with an
installed capacity of 375 mw is designed as a single-shaft plant
in which the main components-the gas turbine, steam turbine
and generator-are arranged on one single shaft. Siemens is
supplying a SCC5-PAC 4000F (1S) power train, comprising an
SGT5-4000F gas turbine, an SST5-3000 steam turbine and an
SGen5-2000H hydrogen-cooled generator, plus the SPPAT3000
instrumentation and control system for the turboset as
well as the ancillary and auxiliary systems.
